And this is the bit we don't like to talk about...

Fine art...

If you are reading this part then you are probably interested in my work (so thank you) and are wondering how much the prints may cost...or what my different printing options may be. I haven't yet completed my pricing plan as I've still to finalize which options to choose, but I also believe that as it is you who is going to own the piece then it's important for you to have your input too.

We can start with basic digital printing up to A2 in size which would start at a cost of €85 (excluding border or frame) per print, but you would also have other printing options of printing such as lambda printing, canvas onto canvas, dibond (which is beautiful and allows you to hang the print with no frames or boarders), aluminum and if you wanted something very unique, you could print directly onto glass (thought that would be very expensive).

After this we need to take into account our framing options. For ever print that you purchase I will give my personal recommendation as to how you may want to hang it. I always consider all of my prints individually so no two frames are expected to be the same.

Commercial...

For my service photography I cover work such as portrait, product and interior photography. I love taking photographs and ALWAYS try to do the best that I can. So if I'm photographing for myself or for you, you can rest assured I will give it my best shot (pardon the pun). At the moment my rates are pretty available and flat at €200 for a half days work. This would be half a day with yourself taking any images required and then on top of that I would be editing all images at home.

I shoot on a Canon 650d which suits the requirements perfectly and with a upgraded lens I get very clear/well lit images. These images are then brought home and edited correctly (by myself) on the latest version of software available which is Adobe Photoshop CS6. Once I have done this I will get the images back to yourself via USB stick. I usually retain a copy of the images myself on my external hard drive should you accidentally lose them at any point.

For the portrait photography I personally think it's a good idea to meet before the shoot. This is to discuss what you may want yourself or ideas I may have (often people are afraid to have portrait work done because, while know they want something different or special they just don't know how to go about it...this is my job, I will show you what's possible with sample images). I should of mentioned earlier that I don't use professional lighting studios. I am more of a creative person. I also just think there are enough people doing it perfectly well out there that I don't need to. This gives us a opportunity to do something more organic and original to yourself. Based on my knowledge of Dublin I know lots of locations that may produce some stunning looks.

Interior photography is important to do well. While we all think we can take great photographs using the cameras on our phone. What you would be paying for with me is to have them professionally done. Some of the practical factors to consider is that you are photographing for the correct lighting conditions, you have your colours matched correctly (we call these 'curves'), and that you have them saved correctly for print or for web. I use a high dynamic range (HDR) in my photographs which is basically taking multu exposures and merging them together for a more even effect...making everything more balanced and pretty.
